My journey in apparel began in 2004 during university in Qingdao. I fell in love with international trade and textiles — the idea that fabric could travel across oceans and become a garment worn on the other side of the world.
In 2007, I joined a major local garment company and started my career as a merchandising assistant. Over more than a decade, I served numerous international brands including Balabala and C&A etc.
But I saw a gap: small and medium brands cannot afford a full sourcing team. They struggle to find manufacturers who truly listen, understand their ideas, and deliver quality without huge MOQs.
That's why I founded Cheng Garment in 2017. Our mission: bring the discipline of big-brand supply chains to small and medium brands.

Today we work with over 20 brands across five specialized factories (T-shirts/hoodies/ sleepwear, sweaters & cardigans, casual tops & pants, lightweight outerwear, plus special craftsmanship and washed garments — more on those later). Our production is in inland Shandong, within 3 hours of Qingdao Port. Raw materials come from Jiangsu/Zhejiang — a one-hour flight distance.
